Product Information
The screw conveyor is a bulk material handling device that uses a rotating helical screw blade (flight) to move powder, granular, or small lump materials (such as cement, coal powder, minerals, grain, or chemicals) along a fixed trough or tube.
Working Principle
As the screw rotates, the helical flights exert a thrust force on the material. The radial component of this force primarily overcomes friction between the material and the casing wall, while the axial component pushes the material forward along the conveyor. The material essentially behaves like a stationary nut being translated along a rotating screw, enabling continuous transport from the feed end to the discharge end.
