Product Information

The ball mill is mainly used for grinding and disintegration of raw materials in industries such as mining, cement, refractories, and chemicals. Ball mills can be classified into dry and wet types. When operating in wet mode, a certain amount of clean water or other liquid is added along with the nmaterial to increase the fluidity of the material being ground, thereby improving production capacity. When operating in dry mode, the material's fluidity is reduced, which directly affects production capacity. In this case, an induced draft device needs to be installed at the discharge port to create negative pressure inside the mill cylinder, increasing material fluidity and improving production capacity.

Working Principle

During operation, the ball mill transmits torque from the electric motor and reducer to the large and small gears of the ball mill, causing the mill cylinder to rotate. Due to the rotation of the cylinder, the steel balls (or other grinding media) inside the cylinder are lifted to a certain height by the contoured liner plates, then fall freely, impacting the material inside the cylinder. The grinding media mixed with the material continuously collide with and grind the material as the cylinder rotates. Through continuous operation of the ball mill, the material and grinding media inside the cylinder constantly collide and grind, reducing the material to a specified fineness. Due to the fluidity of the material, the ground material is discharged through the discharge port, completing the grinding process.
